Position Lab Supervisor  
Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM, M-F

Essential duties and responsibilities: The responsibilities include the following: Train and qualify employees on procedures, employee performance evaluation management, monitor necessary protocols and SOPs-including control charts, maintain quality control(QC) within their area, ensure that personnel under their supervision use approved procedures and maintains all instrumental quality control, recommends and implements new or revised QC policies as approved by the QA manager, review all data and QC results, provide guidance to analysts/technicians in resolving problems encountered daily during sample preparation, ensures that all log books are maintained and current and maintains adequate and valid inventory of reagents, standards, spare parts, and other relevant resources required for daily operations, assists technical director with the tracking and maintenance of certain lab documents.

Skills: Must have the following skills/qualifications: at least two years experience in managing a laboratory, ability to function in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure, analytical, technical skills, excellent problem solving skills, employee relations skills, ability to follow SOPs carefully, excellent organizational and communication skills, ability to work with a diverse group of people, ability to work nights and weekends if necessary. Other skills include experience with the ICP/MS,  knowledge of method 6010 and other environmental methods.

Essential duties and responsibilities: AES, a growing and successful environmental laboratory, is seeking a full-time, permanent, entry level, sample prep technician. The duties include assisting with sample transfer between departments within the laboratory, lab extracting, digesting, or distilling samples as appropriate. Other tasks include reviewing data generated prior to entering and submitting the data to the next level of review.
